Conference: Activation and Security

The second ASPEN/ETUI-REHS conference: Activation and Security will take place at Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic, March 20-21, 2009. The registration deadline is February 15th 2009.

The Active Social Policies European Network (ASPEN) and the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI-REHS) are organizing their second conference on activation policies in March 2009. The general theme of the conference is Activation and Security.

During the conference, four streams will be organized:

  • The institutional setup of activation and security policies
  • Employment friendly policies in Post-Communist Europe - activation as security?
  • Flexicurity, activation and the new regulation of work: what does security mean? 
  • Activation and security: the role of public organizations
